Attractions:
Poseidon’s Temple: In the northern part of the island there are the ruins of Poseidon's Temple, which was built in 520 BC. The main Temple was built in Doric style, though some of its columns were Ionian. It was in this temple that Dimosthenis tried to hide himself from Phillip of Macedonia.
Ancient Settlement: In the Kavos Vasili area, in the northern east part of the island, is located the ancient settlement of the early Copper era. This settlement is the oldest one that has been discovered to date in Troizina. It is possible that this ancient settlement is connected historically to the discovery of the sunken ship that was found off the island of Doko which dates back to the same period.
Lemon Grove: The Lemon Grove is a great site filled with lots of lemon water and mills. From the top, the view is panoramic in Lemon Grove. It is a forest, more than 30,000 orange and lemon trees interspersed with taverns. Green lemon and orange moschomyrizoun and is ideal for romantic walks.
Rousian Naval Base: Five miles north of town are the ruins of the Russian Naval Base. There, in 1834 built stock is supplied to the Russian fleet sailed into the Aegean Sea. The Russians have maintained ownership until 1900. Since 1989, by decree, the Russian Naval Base was declared a historical monument because
the great architectural and historical interest.
Bourtzi: East of the port located one small castle "Bourtzi". Bourtzi built in 1827 by Bavarian philhellene K. Eintek to protect the harbor. Located on the bay of the monastery near the coast of the Peloponnese and can visit a swimming. From the castle of the Poriotes controlled ships came from Hydra.Today it is uninhabited.
