Archaeological Sites:
Lofos Kastrou: 
A castle which was built by the Venetian duke of Naxos, Sanoudos, in the 13 th century on the ruins of ancient churches (three archaic and two classic churches) and is situated in the top of the hill. Next to it was found part of the first settlement of the Cyclades.



Dilio:  In the north of Paroikia and opposite Dilos it was built in the 5 th century a place for worship in honor of Apollo Diliouon a high hill. There is an altar, a church dedicated to Apollo's siser, Artemida, and a small place for symposia. Also, a graveyard was found there.

Pythio-Asklipieio:  In Agia Anna hill, which is in the south of the coast road, was found a sanctum in honor of Asklipios, the god of medicine which dates from the 4 th century BC. In the same place there are ruins from Pythios Apollo's ancient church.



Ancient Graveyard at Paroikia:  A graveyard with great historical interest was revealed by a recent archaelogical digging. (1983). The large number of different graves from different periods, shows that the graveyard was used for a long time. (from the 8 th century BC until the 3 rd century AD).



Lofos Kefalou:  In the east of Marpissa there is the Kefalso hill with the monastery of Agios Antonos(17th century) on its top.The route from Marpissa to the monastery (about half an hour)is oneof the mosy interesting hikings that Paros offer.Just before the top we meet stonesall over the place and ruins of Venice Castle and they destroyed city of Kefalos.



Latomeia:   In the east of a very picruresque settlement called Marathi,we can find the ancient marble qyarry.The popular marle of Paros or "lychnitis" as it is named, was dug out and took its name because the diiging process was held from deep arcades under the light of lamps.
