Monuments:
Mary Paraportiani:
The pages in this section is one of the most distinctive Cycladic architectural monuments. It is the most photographed church in the Cyclades and is a symbol of the Aegean, not just the bay.

In past years there was a small church near the gate (Paraporti) of Castle Town, exit to the sea. So named Paraportiani. The complex includes four churches in the ground floor and one on Highlight the floor, which was the original. The current enclosed narthex of St. Eustatius on the ground floor was Paraporti the castle.

Much later, around 1920 formed by folk artisans today's churches of St. Stathis, Valentine Sozon and St. Anastasia. The two possible arcs supporting the arch of the roof was probably part of the castle and supported a tower.

The group is a creation of time and the anonymous craftsmen who gradually turned a pile of rubble into a unique masterpiece of architecture, construction plasticity, fitting perfectly with the Aegean landscape and the tradition of Mykonos.
