Hydra Beaches:
Mandraki Beach: In short distance from the port, at the left side of it, it is situated the beach of Mandraki, which in the past used to be the military port of the island. Located within a small close cove, Mandraki is the best organized beach of Hydra.
Spilia Beach: The beach of Spilia (meaning “cave” in Greek) is a rocky beach situated at the end of the jetty of the port of Hydra, at the external side of it.
Hydronetta Beach: Hydronetta is a rocky beach situated beside Spilia, just below the characteristic canons of the castle of Hydra. According to the fans of the island it is the best place all over the island.
Avlaki Beach: Avlaki is a small pebbly beach situated beside Ydronetta. In fact, the beach is made up of a few patches with pebbles and a small surface covered with cement, for sunbathing.
Megalo Kamini Beach: The beach of Megalo Kamini (meaning “big kiln” in Greek) is in fact a small natural and very scenic port, full of fishing boats. The beach is situated between the port of Hydra and the beach of Vlyhos.
Mikro Kamini Beach: The beach of Mikro Kamini (“small kiln” in Greek) is a tiny cute beach with pebbles, situated beside the port of Kamini, between the settlement of Hydra and the beach of Vlyhos.
Vlychos Beach: The beach of Vlychos, a pebbly beach with grey pebbles, is situated western to the port, in front of the homonymous tourist resort with the white washed houses keeping the traditional architecture and arranged on the slopes of a low hill above the beach, near the small country church of Aghios Charalambos.
Palamida Beach: The beach of Palamida (meaning “bonito” in Greek) is situated southwards to Vlyhos, after you have walked for 20 minutes and passed by a nice stone bridge, a work of the 17th century.
Molos Beach: After the beach of Palamida, going southwards, it is situated the beach of Molos (meaning “jetty” in Greek). Molos is a pretty closed and rocky creek with a rather wide pebbly beach.
Kaoumithi Beach: The beach of Kaoumithi is situated after the beach of Molos. It is one of the few sandy beaches of the island; it is usually quiet with crystal clear clean sea and not organized at all.
Bisti Beach: The beach of Bisti is situated at the very south of the island, within a cove surrounded by high and steep rocks, in front of a lovely thick wood of pine trees.
The islet of Dokos: Dokos (meaning “beam” in Greek) is a small islet in the Saronicos – Argolicos bay, situated between Hydra and the opposite coast of Ermioni at the Peloponnese, close enough to Spetses.
Agios Georgios Beach: The beach of Aghios Georgios (St. George) is situated at the western coast of the island, close to the cape of Bisti. It is a lovely beach located between two piney hills, below the homonymous country church that overlooks the area. It is a pretty secluded place, quiet enough and not organized at all.
Agios Nikolaos Beach: The beach of Agios Nikolaos is situated at the western coast of the island; one of the pros of the place is that it is found at a pretty secluded area. The beach is surrounded by piney slopes and has a nice view.
Nisiza Beach: The beach of Nisiza is situated almost at the middle of the eastern coast of the island, within a cove below the mountain Klimakio, or Eros, overgrown with pine trees. Nissiza is found at the same place with the ancient port of the ancient small town of Episkope. In front of the beach it is also situated the homonymous skerry.
Klimaki Beach: The beach of Klimaki is situated almost at the middle of the eastern coast of the island, just beside Nissiza and owes its name to the mountain Klimaki or Eros (the latter meaning “love” in Greek), that overlooks the whole area above the beach with the summer residencies.
Limnioniza Beach: The beach of Limnioniza is situated at the northeastern coast of the island. It is a well protected beach within the homonymous cove, close to the Spilia tis Fokias (“the cave of the seal” in Greek) and the cape Regas.
