Folegandros Beaches:

Vardia Beach: The sandy beach of Vardia is situated very close to the port, at a distance less than 100 meters to the northern part of it. It is considered as one of the best beaches of Folegandros.



Karavostassi: The sandy beach of Karavostassi(s) or Chochlidia is situated within the scenic bay of the port, in front of the homonymous small settlement, at a distance of 3,5 kilometers southeastern to the town of Folegandros (Chora). The seabed is sandy, while the beach is both sandy and pebbly.


 
Vincenzo Beach: The beach of Vicentzo is the second out of three successive beaches found at the southern side of the port of Karavostassi(s), each found within a small cove. It is situated at a distance of some 850 meters far from the port on the way to Livadi.


    
Pountaki Beach: The beach of Pountaki is situated within a small cove at the South of Karavostassi(s), some 1000 meters far from it. It is the third out of three successive beaches each found within a small cove, on the way from Karavostassi(s) to Livadi.



Livadi Beach: The long beach of Livadi is situated at the southern coast of the island, some 1200 meters southern to Karavostassi(s) and very close to the tourist settlement of Livadi with sparse population.



Katergo Beach: The beach of Katergo is considered, and not without reason, as the best beach of Folegandros. It is situated at the southeastern endof the island, in an area with not inhabited at all, with the small islet of Pelagia across.



Vorina Beach: The beach of Vorina is found at the middle of the eastern coast of the island, within an open cove. The beach is situated diametrically opposite to Angali. The area around is uninhabited. The beach owes its name (“vorina” in Greek means “northern”) to its geographic position, since it is found northern to Chora.



Syllaka Beach: The rocky coast of Syllaka, facing the open sea, is situated at the eastern coast of the island, just before Serfiotiko (departing from Chora), on approximately the same line as Ano Meria. The place is uninhabited.



Agios Georgios Beach: The pretty long beach of Aghios Georgios is situated at the northern coast of the island, at the very northern end of it, within a cove. Open to the North, the beach is fully affected by the northern winds. The area around is not inhabited and the beach is rather secluded.



Lygaria Beach: The tiny beach of Lygaria is situated at the northern coast of the island, very close to the very northern end of it. It is situated within a small cove, western to Aghios Georgios. The beach is open to the North and fully affected by the northern winds. The area around is not inhabited and the beach is totally remote and secluded.



Ambeli Beach: The small beach of Ambeli (the word in Greek means “vineyard”) is found at the northwestern coast of the island, within a small cove, situated at an uninhabited area. The beach is one of the most remote of the island.



Livadaki Beach: The tiny beach of Livadaki is situated northern to Angali, within a small cove, well protected from the winds, from which you may see the top of the lighthouse of Aspropounta. The area around is uninhabited.



Agios Nikolaos Beach : The beach of Agios Nicolaos is situated at a distance of 20 minutes walking from Angali, at the western part of the bay of Vathy (or Angali Bay), an area with no permanent residents, but very beautiful. The beach has been named after the homonymous small church, found on the hillock, on the way to the tavern.



Galifos Beach: The beach of Galifos is situated at a distance of 10 minutes walking from Angali, at the western part of the bay of Vathy (or Angali Bay). The area is not inhabited, but you will find a few summer houses without electric power.



Agali Beach: The nice sandy beach of Angali (the word in Greek means “bosom”) is situated at the scenic bay of Vathy (or Angali Bay) in front of the homonymous coastal settlement, at a distance of some 4 kilometers western to the town of Folegandros (Chora), at the center of the western coast of the island. The visitors of the beach consider it as one of the best beaches of Folegandros.



Fira Beach: The tiny sandy beach of Fyra is situated at a distance of some 15 minutes walking far from Angali, to the South. The area has no permanent residents. Above the beach it is found the small church of Christos, in honor of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ.
