Chios Beaches:
Agia Fotia Beach: Aghia Fotia is located 11 Km South of Chios town, near Neohori village, and is among the loveliest beaches of Chios, with small pebbles and deep, clear, crystal waters. The area has many hotels, apartments, studios, restaurants, taverns offering fresh seafood, as well as cafes.
Agia Irini Beach: Agia Irini is located on the road from Limenas Meston to Elata, about 6 Km. from Mesta. It is a well sheltered bay with small white pebbles and green-blue crystal waters. The beach is named after the chapel of Aghia Irini that is built in close to the beach.
Apothika Beach: Apothika is a beach completely unspoilt, even the road stops about 100 m. from the beach. This well sheltered from the Aegean winds beach with the clear waters is one of the most favorite beaches of the people living in the area as well as of the visitors too. It is located 4.5 km from Mesta.
Daskalopetra beach: Daskalopetra is located 7 Km North of Chios town, at Vrondados.It is among the loveliest beaches of Chios, with small pebbles and crystal waters. The area has many hotels, apartments, studios, restaurants, taverns offering fresh seafood, as well as cafes.
Karfas Beach: Karfas is located 7 Km south of the town of Chios and is among the most well-known and loveliest beaches of Chios, with a fine sand suitable for beach games and relaxing sunbathing. Being a tourist center, Karfas has many hotels, apartments, studios, restaurants, taverns offering fresh seafood as well as cafes and bars.
Limenas Meston: Limenas is located at the SW part of Chios, 4 Km. from Mesta. The right part of the bay is a port for ferries or smaller boats, but the left part is appropriate for swimming. There are a lot of taverns and accommodation in the area.
Megas Limnionas: Megas Limnionas is located 9 Km south of the town of Chios, near to Thimiana village and it’s among the most well-known beaches of Chios, with sand and very small pebbles excellent for relaxing sunbathing.
Nagos Beach: The area of Nagos is five km from Kardamyla. The running water springs, the platans and the wonderful beach with colorful small pebbles, all these are features which form the enchanting landscape of the area. The area has restaurants and taverns offering fresh seafood.
Tagma Beach: Tagma is located 4 Km North of Chios town, with small pebbles and clear waters.
Vokaria: Vokaria is the heaven of Nenita (20 km south of town). A settlement with a small number of houses and taverns offering fresh seafood. It is a beautiful bay with small pebbles and crystal waters.
Glari beach: Glari beach is located 9 km north of Chios town, near Mersinidi. It is one of the most wonderful and cosmopolitan beaches of Chios. It is an organized sandy beach with clear and crystal waters. There is also a beach-bar.
Didyma Beach: Didyma (= the Twins) is located on the road from Limenas Meston to Elata, about 5 Km. from Mesta.
Merikounta: Merikounta is located at the SW part of the island, near Mesta village. It is a beautiful beach with thick sand and very small pebbles that spreads out to become one with the deep, crystal waters.
Vroulidia: The most southern beach of Chios, 8.5 Km from Pyrgi, next to Mavra Volia. Small sandy bay ideal for sunbathing.
Mersinidi beach: Mersinidi beach is located 8 km north of Chios town. It is a sandy beach with pebbles and it has clear and crystal waters.
Agia Markella Beach: Agia Marcella is an arrant seashore with what seems to be an endless length of pebbled beach that spreads out to become one with the deep, blue waters of the Aegean sea.
Avlonia: It is a beautiful beach with thick sand and very small pebbles that spreads out to become one with the deep, crystal waters.
Kato Fana Beach: Kato Fana (6 Km south of Pyrgi, on the road to Olympoi) is a beautiful sandy beach.
Limnos Beach: Limnos is located at the NW part of the island, near Volissos. There are taverns in the area serving fresh seafood.
Metohi Beach: Metohi is located at the west part of chios, 2 km southwest of Siderounda village. It is a wonderful beach with thick sand and little pebbles. It has clear and crystal waters. Near the beach there is a tavern where you can enjoy good sea food.
Trahili beach: Trahili beach is located at the western part of Chios, 5 klm northern of Lithi. It is a pure sandy beach with crystal waters. There are a lot of pine-trees all the way down the mountain to the beach.
Agia Dynami Beach: Agia Dynami is a beach completely unspoilt, named after the chapel of Holy power that is near the bay.
Afanis Nautis Beach: Afanis Nautis Beach is located 6 Km North of Chios town, with small pebbles and clear waters.
Bella Vista: Bella Vista is located 1 Km south of the city’s center. It is a beach with thick sand and very small pebbles.
Komi Beach: Komi is located 4 Km outside the village of Kalamoti and is among the loveliest beaches of Chios.
Salagonas: Salagonas bay is located at the southwest part of Chios, about 6 klm from Pyrgi . It is a wonderful beach with thick sand and pebbles. It has clear and crystal waters.
Viri Beach: Viri is located near Lilikas Beach, next to Komi ( about 1,5 Km. away) on the way to Vouno village. It is an organized beach with Beach bar called Carpe Diem. The bay is beautiful, with small pebbles and crystal waters.
